From the Road

Recently my Fiance and I had to take a drive into the city for some errands. I brought my camera along and made some photos on the day. Unfortunately it was not a day dedicated to photography - however I made the most of my time.

I used my XH2 and 18mm f1.4 for the majority of the day - with only a few images taken with the 33mm f1.4. I tend to rely on my 33mm for everything and I have been challenging myself to use the wider focal length in order to enhance my story telling. Together this pair shares the same field of view as a 28mm and 50mm, respectively. These are classic documentary choices and they work very well together. I still need to train my eye to “see” in terms of 28 - although its getting easier with each passing week.

The majority of these frames were all taken from the road.
